Removing stickers

What's the best way to go about removing these stickers/emblem residue

The 4wd emblem feel off a while agon

I'd try to heat it up with a hair dryer to softest the sticker. Should help loosen it up then peal away. After that some goo gone.

Don't know if that will help though if the stickers have been on since 2000?

Try citrus based Goo-Gone or Goof-Off. The oil based will definitely get it off, but might also attack the finish.

Follow Lineman's advice! Use a heat gun or hair dryer. :flamethrwoer2: When I removed my badges the adhesive behind the SR5 and the Toyota came off clean with Goof-off and cleaner wax. The 4Runner badge on the other hand was a SOB and I used so much pressure with the Goof-off that I damaged the paint. I regret not using a heat gun to soften up the adhesive first. Now I've got to remove the license plate trim and repaint. Oh well, live and learn :redbrick:

I find lighter fluid works very well to remove adhesive from any surface without causing any damage.

I've tried goo-gone once before and it did jack.

Turtle Wax makes a sticker/emblem remover compound. I gave it a try and it lighten up where the 4x4 was at but after a few times I could start to see some paint damage. As for the dealer sticker it did work on it but only after 4 to 5 uses but it's still there.

I may just leave with it for now. The whole rear hatch needs to be repainted anyways is the paint has peeled off most of the top section and is now peeling right below the rear window.

Worst case, I'd use gasoline to remove the final residue. After using though make sure you wash then wax.

This is best stuff that I've used for that kind of thing. You can get it at your local hardware supply or plenty of online sources like drillspot.com. A hair dryer will also help. Be careful with it dripping down to the emblem below.

I've always used Goo-gone to get rid of dealer stickers on my cars, and it works amazingly well!

Heat gun/blow dryer, warm it up and start peeling away, or use a single razor blade. I just had a whole ordeal trying to get gunk off my supermoto. WD40 and the heat gun worked well to heat it up so I could rub it off pretty much.
