My new-to-me T4R came with more stereo than I've ever had in any car I've ever owned, combined. I was originally considering downsizing it, and we'll see, but in the meantime I need to pull the kicker out of the trunk for a weekend camping trip ... only I just wanted to ask the folks who would know better than I whether or not I'm going to screw anything up. Here's my system in a nutshell, from as much as I can ascertain:
Farenheit 735 head unit
PowerBass ASA 1400w amp
PowerBass ACP2.4 capacitor
12" ported enclosure in the back, along with a smallish (motorcycle battery-sized) Kinetik HC battery
Separate volume knob for the enlcosure too
The car's got a Kinetic HC1800 battery up front with a real fancypants looking fusable link coming off it as well.
Ultimately, my question is, if I want to get the box & the battery out of the back for the weekend, am I going to goof up anything with the fusable link, the capacitor, the power amp, etc if I just unhook it all and go?
Aside: even as a musician, I've never had this much snot put into car audio. But I gotta admit, it does sound nice. But I think I could downsize it all to a single space radio that I could plug the ipod into, and some better speakers around the cabin. As long as it sounded good - I don't need it to be that loud. What does this kind of set up go for?
Thanks in advance!
