Removing the Center Diff Lock Switch

I will be getting ARB air lockers within the next couple of months.

I would like to utilize the 4 spots to the left of the steering wheel without cutting new ones. I currently have the compressor switch, traction, and center diff lock. When I get the lockers can I just disconnect the center diff lock switch to make room for my F/R switches?

I think itll be pretty much useless after lockers. What do you guys think?

I say keep it. There may be times when you just need raw 4x4 ability without the use of front or rear lockers. What about the switches in the center consol?

Even with your front and rear axles locked the center diff will still be open so you won't be getting power equally transferred between front and rear. Ditch the 110v outlet switch and keep the diff lock.

Im going to keep both and just relocate my Aircompressor switch to the center console.

This will free up 2 spaces on the dash for both locker switches.

BTW I know the center diff switch is usefull but I didnt know if it was still needed after front and rear lockers were installed.

It is, it's like rebel said, even though the front and rear might be locked, the center is still open. The front and rear will just be locked independently from each other rather than together.

You need the diff switch or you wont ever be 50/50 split between the front and rear diffs. If I'm not mistaken you can get a center console trim piece from a limited they should have 2 more switch positions on on either side of the 3 that are on the standard center console.

If you ditch the center lock like said above you will loose true 4x4. Here is a scenario, front and rear diffs locked, going up a ledge, front tires start slipping. the power will route to the area of least resistance. Meaning you rear tires, will be just about useless to get you over the obstacle.
