Removing the steering wheel cover.

Has anyone got experience removing the steering wheel cover? The reason I ask is I have a very annoying squeak from right inside the steering wheel. Only happens on hard bumps and off road but still annoying.

I'm trying to figure out a way to resolve it, but I'm a little unsure with the SRS system and all that. I dont want to try and pull of the cover and blow the air bag. I know there is process on how to remove the steering wheel itself, i just want to take off the cover to isolate the squeak.

this may be one for the dealer..not sure.

Thoughts?

It's just a couple of screws or bolts. I don't have my 4runner in front of me today.
Just make sure you tilt the wheel all the way down. It will be tough to get out but with some jocking it around, it will come out.

Here is a picture from a 2000 Taco. It should be close to it. At least get you in some direction.
