Removing White raised lettering

Just got new Revo's, great tire, but hate the raised white lettering, does anyone know how to remove the white paint?

i would try a small amount of paint reducer applied with a rag...should wipe it right off.

Remount them on the rims with the white facing in. Over time they will dirty up and you won't notice them.

ALL tires are the same way: blackwall on one side WLO on the other (white letters out)

I'm pretty sure that's not true. I just doubled checked mine. All 3 cars are blackwall on the outside AND blackwall on the inside. The last time I went to get tires for my pickup they tried to feed me some BS about how all tires have white lettering and wanting to just mount them facing in. That's ghetto! It's just an excuse to sell the tires they have in stock. Most tires can be ordered with or without the white lettering. Apparently some people actually like the lettering (weird IMHO).

Chalk me up as one of those weird'os. I like the white lettering on my REVOs, I think they go well with the Titanium. But I don't care for excessive or oversized lettering, IMHO

Depending on the manufacturer the above is true. But lots of times the least popular sizes will only come in one or the other, usually its only the popular sizes where there is a choice. I've never seen it as a big deal to have the white letters facing in if you want blackwalls. Nothing ghetto about it, they get dirty enough fast enough so the white is never visible. Plus who is going to see it? If you actually clean the inside of your tires thats far too anal, time for a hobby.

I hate to do that, but that is what I did with my Cross Terrians. They had white lettering all over the tire. It works fairly well, I am unable to noticed the lettering, once on an old Volvo the lettering was noticable.

In all of the cars I have owned, from Jaguars to a VW bug, I never used white lettering and I never will. :cannon:

Count me black

My truck had less than 300 miles on it & I was @ the shop spending just under a hun to have them flipped & balanced.
They looked @ me like I wuz crazy [see, they were smart guys] & told me it would take 2 hours. I said fine, but it's gonna take a whole lot longer than that to get out any scratches with their fingernails.

I know the Cross Terrains can be ordered either way (at least in factory sizes) because mine dont have white letters on either side.

I like the look of the white lettering, but my letters are starting to peel after 6,100 miles! I have the stock Dunlop tires that came on the Sport. :bonk:
