Removing xreas?

I'm replacing all four struts and want to remove the xreas. Ive been trying to research how to remove it and can't come up with anything. Does anyone have any good threads they can recommend or give me insight on what has to be don't to remove it? I'm replacing with bilstein 5100s

It's pretty much like any other shock/strut replacement with the exception of dealing with the pressure lines.

It's not a super detailed walk through, but I mention the disconnect points and how to disconnect the shocks from the frame:

Im doing the same thing and still trying to figure what shock/strut/spring that i want to replace with.

I'm doing the same replacement this weekend. The easiest way to remove everything is to get all four wheels off the ground to take pressure off the system. Since I'm in a normal garage and can't do that, the next best advice I found is to remove the rear shocks off their post so that they fully extend, and then jack up the front end. Seems to make sense, so I'm doing that.

ive removed the system, you wanna have all 4 off the ground, that system is somewhat pressurized so when u take the first shock off its gonna spray... just be ready for that.
as for removal... remove shock like u normally would and either remove the line going to the shock or if u are trashing the system just cut it off. u will see the lines go to the little resivors on the frame rail. you can remove the entire system... it connect to nothing else on the truck... no sensors or anything.

i remember seeing a nice diagram in a thread when i did it..search for it. once u are under there looking at it u will see the lines and it comes off easy

i replaced it with 2014 tacoma shocks/ struts all around

i had the help of a friend with access to a bay so it helped to have a lift to do the work. with all 4 tires off the ground i just took them apart at the banjo bolts and used the shops oil catch can to let all the fluid out on each side in the rear then took everything apart. if you take the banjo bolt off slow you can let it leak down before taking it all apart.

if you look i did have some leak out on to the floor but nothing i could not get up quick. it was to much of a pain to get to the quick connects to take them apart so we did it the quick way
