Repainted bumper, before and after

Hey guys I just wanted to show an example of how a simple repair can make a big difference. I just bought my 4runner about a week ago. It's about 95% rust free which is insane considering it's a Minnesota truck.

My front bumper was pretty rusty so I decided to repaint it and try and give the truck a cleaner look. I'm on a very slow internet connection so I wont be able to upload pics from the whole process. I basically just removed the bumper and turn signals and gave it a slight sanding. I could have done a much better job but the garage has no heating at the moment and the temp has been in single digits lately so I just wanted to get it finished.

The whole process took about an hr with time in between to let the paint coats dry. I sprayed a few coats of some anti rust stuff. After that dried I did a few coats of grey primer. To finish it off I did about 3 solid coats of flat black paint. It's definitely not perfect but this will help hold me over until I get an aftermarket bumper. Theres a long line of mods to come before then though. I can't stand these tires. Bridgestone Duellers are not very good in ice and snow. Thanks for checking out my post:thanks:

Looks good. I did the same to mine about a month ago when I was getting frustrated doing the headgasket. It's amazing what a simple fix can do.
