Repainting a rear hatch...

So I have a line on a cheap Hilux rear hatch to replace my rusted out rear hatch, but it is white and mine is IJM. How much of a difficulty will it be to repaint it IJM? Anyone got an idea of price?

If you check Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market you should be able to find a hatch that matches.

Wow. My post is looking like spam. It's not. I've dealt with one of the local junkyards that belongs to the cart-parts network and I'm satisfied with the price I paid. More expensive than a pick and pull but internet convenience.

Yeah, I have the site bookmarked, but I have found that many of those yards are terribly out of date on their inventory. I have not yet started calling junkyards because there is a high likelihood that any there will be rusted too (since they are all NE vehicles). Thanks for the suggestion.

You could probably find someone to paint it cheaper than $600. I had my front bumper, rear bumper, and bed painted for $300 on a mazda B3000. Guess it depends on how perfect you want it but since it's pretty much the entire rear of your truck the paint work doesn't have to match 100% for it to look right.

I'd spray it myself if it cost over $300 assuming you have an air compressor.
