Throttle body has anyone seen this happen?
4th gen T4R sport 4.7 4wD check engine light trac and VSC came on but it was running great, no problems at all. I put OBD on it, code 430 couldn’t find anything wrong, tried high octane, cleaned MAF sensor etc…. Then drove one day, got home, next day anti-freeze under the car. Took off the cover, I didn’t know what part this was, but it didn’t look normal. Researched and I think it’s the throttle body. How would this happen? Did I do something that would make this happen? Thanks everyone!!! Dena

There are coolant lines that go through the throttle body to help with situations where the throttle body can ice over in high humidity. The vacuum drop causes the moisture to fall out of the air and can ice up or something like that from physics class that I don't remember. For the majority of us though those coolant lines are not necessary. Yours just needs some work and replacing the coolant lines and putting on some new clamps. Shouldn't be but a little bit of time and work. Since the throttle body sits pretty high on the coolant system you shouldn't make a big mess but have some towels nearby to catch the coolant that comes out.
On my engine, although it's a 3rd Gen, I bypassed the throttle body altogether for lower intake temperatures. I live in a very hot and dry climate though. Today was 105 with 15% humidity, no icing here.
