Replace water pump/tri-belt

2003 4R 4.0 V6 173K miles. Runs great, need to replace water pump & belt. Do I need any special tools for this job? Looks like a fair amount of room to get to it. Any horror stories?

I would get a copy of the FSM, I believe a forum member has links for PDF downloads. Make sure you pay attention to what you are doing. You should be able to get by with the average set of tools, no real need for any special tools

On a side note, what do you mean by "tri-belt?" I assume you are talking about the serpentine belt. If you are talking about the timing belt, there is none. The 1GR-FE is a chain-driven engine.

Toyota parts guy called it a tri-belt. It's the serpentine belt. Thanks for the tip!
