Replacement leather seatcovers

I have been looking for a long time for a 4th Generation replacement leather bottom seat covers for the drivers side due to bolster damage. Up until now you would have to get a custom replacement done. In searching ebay, I found Perfect Stitch Upholstery in Utah. They sold 3rd generation leather seat covers. I called them and the owner, Bruce Lee, said if I would send him the old cover as a template, he would make a replacement lower seat cover in leather.

I received the cover quickly, installed it and the seatcover looks great. I am by no means an upholstery guy, but the install was pretty easy for a general car DYI mechanic. The color match was almost perfect and the workmanship excellent. You can reach bruce via email at: [email protected]

very interested in this. My drivers seat is messed up too, every other surface in the car is great so don't really want to go cover route. I'll reach out and seat what he says, how much was this?

Seat cost

They charge $210 for the driver seat bottom. Expensive, but the quality is very high and the fit perfect.

Leather seats

The new seat bottom is all leather. It is maybe a little softer than the OEM leather, but the texture and color are dead on. I had the split left side bolster too, it really looked shabby with the foam visible. The rest of the 4runner interior is in great shape. It annoyed me every time I opened the door. Very happy with the new cover.

you can buy matching Clazzio leather and replace all of them for around $700. $210 for just the bottom isn't really that good of a price...

Leather seats

The seat cover that I purchased is a replacement full leather seat cushion cover. The seat cushion cover installs with hog rings and sewn on plastic clips. You remove the old leather seat cushion cover and attach the new cover directly to the foam and seat frame. It is a direct replacement for the OEM leather seat cushion cover. The Clazzio is a seat cover made to only go over existing cloth seats. I think we are comparing apples to oranges.

If the only issue with the interior is the bottom drivers seat cushion, this is a good factory look solution.

Hmm, didn't realize that about Clazzio. Well I will have to look around now but there are several guys that have replaced theirs on here, replaced not covered, and I know it cost them much less.
They did do great work though! Look OEM.

That's been my concern. I've found driver/passenger clazzio's for $230, the entire set for $425. The're supposed to be great, even over the factory leather. My gripe is that it makes the back of the second row leather as well, so when you put the seats down the leather is there and i beat mine up with stuff.

I didn't need a 2nd row to be leather, little concern about matching. I got Clazzios recently and absolutely love them, paid 200 bucks for fronts only. They look and feel great!

OP, looks great! All that matters is that you love them! They do look oe.

I don't know where you're getting $700 from but I have both front and back from Clazzio and it cost $450.

That was my concern so I bought these to go over my Clazzios. To me, even though it all adds up, I care more about making sure I do it right the first time. I got these cargo liners over Christmas for $100 and the Clazzios for $450. Absolutely changed the look of the truck for the better. I have 2 little kids so I also have seat protectors on my back seat to protect the Clazzios from the car seat digging into it.

No, wrong product. I was thinking it was Clazzio but it's not. I'm talking about one that completely replaces seat covers. Don't know what thread I seen it on, been a while.

Holy Shnikeys. Katzkin can go suck it with those prices. I'm not kidding, Clazzios make a ridiculously nice product that is pretty much on par with them if not exactly there same.

Good info guys. I'm in the market for a new driver's side cover so it's nice to be educated on some options.

Just finished my Katzkin install last week...790 through buddy and included the door panels...still have to do the headrests and I'm hoping the heat will eventually smooth out some of the wrinkles...for a couple hundred more than the classes i had for my tacoma these are a hell of a lot better

After debating this for over a year and a half i finally pulled the trigger on the leather seat cover referenced in this thread (i bought it off ebay for $210). I've debated forever about this cover vs clazzio's and finally just decided to get it done. The leather is very nice and comes with some nice thick padding below. I did have a few issues with the install. first was that there was no cutout for the lever, which i'm not a fan of cutting into nice leather right off the bat and i actually did go a little higher than needed so i can see it a little bit. The bigger issue is that it's very loose on the eat. I can push my hand across the top of the seat and you can see a wave like motion across the top. The bottom of the seat is also off. It uses 3 plastic clips to attached to the seat frame. The problem is that the plastic clips are straight, making a box like connection. The seat frame is rounded however. It doesn't fully clip in and makes the cushion not so secure, very loose. Here are some pictures:
