what is a good replacement of plastidipping my wheels? I have plastidipped my wheels and the plastidip has started to come up

what is a good solution/replacement to plastidipping my wheels?? I absolutely love the flat black look of my wheels, what can i do to get the same look but more permanent? im kind of iffy on spraypaint but what do you guys think is best?

Powder Coat

Just search for places that do powdercoating in your area, it is much more durable that spraypainting or plastidip. I found a place in my area that will do all 4 wheels for $400. I think its definitely worth the extra money to get a good looking finish that will last. The guy at the shop showed something like 17 different shades and finishes of black that they offered so if you go to a good shop they should be able to give you exactly what you want.

Highly suggest powder coating them. You can check mine out, I still get compliments a year later and there is no fading or chips on them!

i would powder coat them, but....... i am broke. I need a cheaper solution! haha
maybe laters when i ahve more money i can powdercoat them but for right now i just need a good cheap semi permanent solution that is better then plasti dipping but still gives me an awesome black!

So you think wheel paint would be best? any other ideas? someone told me about rustoleum rubberized paint or something like that....

plasti dip is more or less rubberized paint. just pull the plasti and rattle can them. easier to touch up. nothing besides an actual "process" like powdercoating or chroming will be permanent.

shop around for powder coating prices and try and get a reference on the shop if you can. You should be able to get your wheels done for $150 ish.

again, nothing besides a real process is going to hold up to grinding a curb (even then, it wont be pretty). just stay away from the .99 cent cans at wal-mart and you should be alright. ive never tried dedicated wheel paint but rustoleum always worked for me. rustoleum hammered has always caught my eye, not sure how much of a texture it gives though. buy an extra can so you can touch them up if need be. i wouldnt wash them with a brush for a little bit so the paint can set up.

Powder coat all the way, just like everyone else said. Mine are plasti-dipped currently & I'm going to re-touch them soon. After that I'm going to powder coat.
