Replacement Speakers for JBL System???

Has anyone replaced the stock JBL speakers that are included in the 10 speaker system? How did it sound and what speakers did you use? Can I replace these stock speakers with some Infiniti or Polk or are these JBL speakers made to match up with the receiver? Also does anyone know if there is a pre-amp out in the back of the JBL 6 disc receiver? I want to add a 10" sub. Thanks

Can't recommend a brand but you need to know that all the JBL speakers are 2 ohm speakers so that whatever you get will match with the JBL E/Q and power amp mounted on the subwoofer in the rear. The JBL sub is a dual voice coil unit and there is no sub out from the JBL head unit. Sub out is directly from the power amp.

Can't recommend a brand but you need to know that all the JBL speakers are 2 ohm speakers so that whatever you get will match with the JBL E/Q and power amp mounted on the subwoofer in the rear. The JBL sub is a dual voice coil unit and there is no sub out from the JBL head unit. Sub out is directly from the power amp.

There should be a speaker grill right behind the passenger side rear wheel well in the quarter panel.

Kicker model 40cwrt82 is an 8 in dual 2 ohm thin mount sub woofer that will work.

JBL speakers are actually 2.6 ohm 20W, according to the sticker on the back of the speaker magnet. And factory JBL subwoofer is in fact NOT the dual voice coil. It only got one set of contacts so it cannot be dual voice coil. I replaced myself all factory JBL junk with aftermarket Hertz and JL Audio set up so I know what I'm talking about.

I went with two sets of Focal 165v30's and two mosconi 200.2 amps for the doors. jl sub/box and a 300.2 for the bass.

Someone mentioned a Fosgate 2-ohm sub that fits in the enclosure in an old thread on here. My OEM one was falling apart.

I'll post a link but I think you can buy one in the $100-120 range. Sounds ok for the money, just wish it had a little more wattage driving it.
