Replacing '97 SR5 front seats?

Hey there everyone...

First post, as I just bought a '97 SR5 4wd in Anthracite Mettalic/Brown a few days ago. I'm really thinking of replacing the front cloth seats - which are pretty worn - with either a better version of the same seat or leather seats from a Limited.

I was just hoping that someone here with some experience doing this could let me know what seats will be somewhat compatible with my SR5? For instance, can I take leather/power seats out of a 96/97/98/99 and somehow get them to work? (My seats are not powered.)

I guess I could also go the seat cover route, but most of what I seat out there just looks ugly. I'd prefer something understated and classy.

Any seats from any year 3rd gen will bolt up, but you'd have to wire up the powered seats yourself to work. Check the classifieds on here, I got a full set of mint condition SR5 seats (front and rear) for $150. Wet Okole makes some really nice seat covers, but they aren't cheap.

Or look for some 2nd gen seats and try to get the rails with them, they're a little more comfortable than 3rd gen seats and you can find them in abundance at junk yards

FWIW, Leather seats were a factory option on '97 SR5's. They were manually adjustable only, but otherwise were the same Oak Leather seats as seen in Limiteds.
