Replacing 99 motor with a 2000 - questions?

Guys,

I have a 99 4wd with a blown motor. I have a donor motor from a 2000 2wd. I expect there to be some issues with this - and was just wondering if anyone could share them with me? Do I need to switch out oil pans? Anything else will need to be swapped/changed/fixed to make it work?

As far as I know, it should be plug & play.
The b*tch is the wiring harness that goes between some of the intake parts.

Thank you for your response Kinda like the 1UZ where you have to take the IM off to get to the starter plug? Thanks again,

I have no experience with the 1UZ, but yes...

Actually, I have never swapped out a 3.4 either. BUT, I helped the guy remove the engine from my parts truck when he bought it. I did not want to cut the wiring harness, so he had to disassemble 1/2 of the intake to remove the engine.
You would have thought Toyota engineers would have wired it differently, but oh well...

When I did mine in my 1998 4x4 I got a 2wheel drive motor with harness so I had to switch the wireing harness for the motor other then that should be plug and play

And yes you do have to take apart some of the intake to route it threw no way around it
