Replacing door window side moulding

Anyone replaced the textured plastic panels (with the little dots) on the doors? They look like they are held on with body panel tape, but wanted to see if anyone has dealt with that before ripping them off. We just added a 2007 Sport to the collection and the PO damaged them removing window shades. They also seem to be pretty pricey from the stealership, $50 bucks a pop.
