Replacing factory Radio in 03-04 4Runner

Has anyone tried replacing the factory radio in the 03-04 4Runner? I am replacing mine and noticed, what looks like two anntena cables. I used what looks like the normal cable, but signals seem week and AM stations are no good.

SAME PROBLEM HERE

I GET VERY WEAK SIGNAL. JUST PURCHASED AN ANTENNA AMPLIPHIER WILL LET U KNOW HOW THAT GOES.

That third cable is a 12v input for the antenna amplifier. Without power to that cable, you will get poor signal strength. I replaced my stereo and had to power that amplifier.

Which cable are u talking about.

I need to know so i can supply it with power.

It's the antenna connector (2 antenna plug ins from the window glass). Additionally, there is one power connector. That is the one that needs power.

Thank you for the info! I have been living without the radio since my new deck plays MP3's. But I really missed it. I take it we need to supply power to the connector shown on your site (the bigger one), and not the other end?

You are correct. The actual antenna amplifier is probably mounted near the antennas themselves, so the three connectors that go into the radio are (2 for the antenna themselves) and one connector for the power from the radio to the antenna amplifier. You should tap into this wire and supply the power.
