The only problem I forsee is the manual is written with the professional mechanic in mind.
They are assuming you already know "stuff", and skip over the basics you probably don't know.
Taking it apart probably won't be too bad. Putting it back together & having it work right will be a pain in the ars.
For future reference, it would help a lot to post a question like this in the sub-section of the year of your truck, and list what that year is & motor you have in your question.
