Replacing interior with leather...what do I have?

Hello everyone. After selling my 1996 4Runner Ltd to purchase a 2007 FJ TRD Edition, I learned I really missed some of the more functional aspects of the 4Runner (anyone who has small kids understands the FJ and kids = a pain in the arse for daily use around town). So I recently picked up a 2002 4Runner Black/black cladding), hood scoop, color keyed bumpers, etc. My problem is that I'm wanting the look and feel of leather (dug the 96's interior when I had it) and looking at ordering katzkins or having one custom installed. The katz is the cheaper way to go and requires less time without my vehicle...but I am being told by the seller that the 02 has two different "gray" options..."stone" or "gray" beyond the 3rd option of taupe. The code off the door says KA3/FR17...likely a black exterior but what is the FR17? I BELIEVE I have the stone interior but cannot say with certainty. Help!

Can you post a pic of your interior? That would likely help people identify what you've got.

I ran the FR17 color code here at work and it comes up charcoal.Like bootown mentioned stone is a 4th Gen color.

I am pretty sure you can get -just like leather- seat covers for a great price. do a search in the 3rd gen forum for "seat cover" and it is in one of the top threads.

have u got a quote on the katzkins? i had my interior on my old benz redone in black/grey centers using katzkin leather replacement skins and i loved it.

The two grays available were Toyota colors Gray and Moon Mist

Moon mist is more of a bluish purple color, while Gray... is gray.

The internet fails pretty hard with photos of each.

Some of those pictures on Cal Trend are pretty bad, the seams are not square with the cushions, the fit is saggy... and it doesn't look like leather to me - and these are the pictures they felt were best?
