Ever since I purchased my 04 back in 2018, the grey part of my center console had really bad "stains" / discoloration on them. No matter what product I tried to use to clean, it didnt help. Fast forward to me finding this thread. Tonight I cleaned the trim piece really well with rubbing alcohol, and taped off the black parts with painters tape. I used the Rustoleum universal satin nickel, and I must say it looks 100x better than before. I should have done it years ago. I will include 2 before pictures and 4 after pictures. I didn't clear coat it, and not sure if I will. Im very content with the way it turned out.
