Replacing Radio Antenna Wire

Hello all, awhile back I installed a Sony receiver in my truck, but the receiver was far to deep to fit with the antenna plug in the back of the unit.... So I tried bending the plug to get it to fit and you can figure the rest, i broke it!!!! So Now I am needing to restring a new wire, does anyone know where to begin??

Is the wire too short now to solder on a new connector ? They are available at most electronic parts stores and they come in straight and right angle versions. If you install a new wire you still have the original problem.
