Replacing Stock Speakers & Tweeters

hey i dont know if anyone else has asked this question. but ill give it a shot

where can i find or be told on ow to replace the my stock speakers in my 96 sr5? and the tweeters? i cant find anything hoping if anyone has some clues on where to find directions?
please help!

On my 99 (the 96 is the same IIRC)

to take the door panel off

pry off the door pull handle leather or cloth trim off, two phillips head screws will be revealed, remove them

Take out the screw inside the "unlock latch" cup

on the outter perimiter of the door panel, there will be pop pins, you press in the center circle, then pull out the outter one.

Finally, pry the bottom of the door panel off releasing the pop pins in the bottom, and sides.

The door panel will lift straight up and off.

To get to the tweeter (if so equipped) you just pry off the little black tweeter pod after the door panel is off

hmm not sure why it didnt work. try this one and go down to the "write-ups" section. Then click on "door panel removal."

hey thanks alot! ill tell my dad to pick me up some aftermarket speakers and tweeters... i was also thinking about puting some 6/9 in the rear behind the back seats... any suggestions for speakers?

your better off picking up good speakers for the fronts, and picking up an amplifier, adding additional speakers is always a pain.
