Replacing Stock Stereo in an '03 4Runner

Sorry if this has been posted before.

I'm looking to replace the stock stereo in my '03 with one that has an aux input for an mp3 player. I've been looking to replace it with one of the stock sets from an '06 and up model, but I've read that the input jack is located in the center console.

If so, does that mean I can't use one of the stock units from Toyota?

If not, which unit would offer the best compromise between sound quality and price?

The aux input is in the center console. I don't recall what members who removed thier stock '06+ radio said, if the aux input wiring is a part of the 4Runner's. Similar to how the Scion tC iPod wiring is apart of the vehicle's wiring.

I'm not sure if USA Spec still makes an auxilary input only adapter, if they do it's probably the cheapest solution, ~$50.

Dice Electronics iPod interface adapter allows you to control your iPod through your stock radio and has an auxilary input as well, ~$150.

In my experience even cheaper aftermarket decks are better than most stock ones...if the stock look is what your going for there are some decks out there that have multiple color options so you can match the dash.

I had a Scion before my Kenwood and it was descent but still sounded "stock".
