Replacing the XREAS shocks

NOT TRUE. X-Reas does not have any electronic sensors hooked up to it. Do a search on this forum about replacement. Many guys have done it and are happy campers......:biggrin2:

Go to any website and look up your year of 4Runner for shocks. Choose the NON-XREAS Option (usually an SR5) then any of those shocks will work.

Thank you!

there have been tons of threads about this, you can search and you will find....but i remember most saying bilstein 5100 shocks and FJ springs if you can find them

Eastcoast is right for the least expensive solution IF you want a lift for your front end. However if you're talking about a Runner that isn't used off road the 5100's are overkill, and for those living in states with sales tax they'll cost almost $400. For road vehicles regular non adjustable Bilsteins (among other brands) are fine.

Anybody run the KYB GR2s?

Replacement shocks

I'm ditching the XREAS system, what are some good shocks for 99% road driving? If off road, just gravel and snow. Don't want to spend an arm and leg; $400-$500 for all four shocks.
