Am having a donor trans installed at the shop of hell this week, and was told they will install for $600.00 plus fluid. Not the best install price but not the worst. They said there may be extra charges if they need to "reflash" my computer or possibly have a dealer do it. Is this necessary in the least bit or even required to finish up an auto swap?? I would think the shop would know by now after thousands of jobs whether or not they indeed "NEED" to do this after a swap. IMO, they are trying to setup a "dealer" type fee that they are going to say needed done to add $$$ to the bill. Thanks guys
