So I am new to the truck world, I have been modding cars for a really long time but have generally stayed away from off roading. I just finished a 545hp 2jz IS300, and now I just picked up a black Trail Edition and can't wait to start modding it.

I dont want to get cheap parts or knockoffs due to lack of knowledge.

i.e. Volk TE37's real deal- Rota's knockoffs
I dont want to rice out my truck with the wrong parts. Most of the time you get what you pay for and I understand that when you buy rhe real parts you have a better fit and a better quality part.

So what are the staple brands and companies that make reputable parts for our truck?

Suspension?
Wheels?
Power Adders?
Accesories? Bumpers? sliders?

thanks for a point in the right direction.

There is a member here with bronze volks on his black trail. Looks cool.

What do you plan on doing with your truck? Serious offroad, high speed desert or just for looks?
Only thing to add speed out right now are the Doug Thorley headers.
Check out the "lifted thread" and see what other have modded. The old adage"you get what you pay for" pretty much applies.

Unfortunately TRD makes "nothing" for the 5th Generation for performance parts.............and from what I've found, there are little to no companies making any mod's for the 5th Gen T4R.

Its a "she" lol. Mackin Industries still produces the TE37x in our bolt pattern, Gramlights makes a 57sx pro, and work makes a wheel similar to the emotions call the Crag.

I live in FL so there will not be any seriose off road, but I bought the truck with the intention of driving it cross country and doing some desert runs. I will be driving the truck to Nevada/Utah next summer and taking a couple of mountainbikes. I want to out fit the truck with the right equipment so that I am not losing daily drivability and reliabilty, I need it to be capable of driving 3000 miles and then go straight off road and be capable.

I am thinking wheels, some type of brushgaurd or bumper capable of a housing a winch, not sure of a lift yet, keep it simple but capable.
