rerouting vent under seat for amp install

Has anyone actually rerouted the vents under the seats on a 4th gen ?

I want to install an amp under both seats, and would feel a lot better knowing there won't be direct heat blowing onto my amps.

Just Duct Tape to cap them off??

Great question....that was never answered. Since I am doing an Amp soon.....AND b/c I was trying to be a good boy and use the search engine.....I am Officially Resurrecting this thread!!!

I found this thread but no pictures and guys just rip the vent out? I figure you should Duct Tape it to stop the air flow and allow other vents to work more efficiently.

cut a 2 x 2 square block with 3/4'' mdf, use that on the back side of the amp and itll have enough air to blow under. think of it as legs/ spacers. it works fine on my jl 300/2 amps
