Sounds exactly like me. My baby is 6months old. Don't want him getting slung or bashed around over bumps. Sounds like icons will be my choice then unless something I'm persuaded to go to the boss kit. Hypothetically if I got the boss kit and just attend uppers, I would be around 1900-2000. The stage 2 has the 2.5 coils, tubular uppers and are extended. So $400 difference but get the 2.5s and the extended travel.

Maybe I'm over thinking it, but when k spend money like this I go over all choices. Hate to change my mind later and spend even more changing it.

Yes Icons are more, but name 1 benefit of the Boss kit other than price. On the flip side, there are multiple benefits to Icon such as the 2.5" shock body, extended travel, and a much longer track record. Also, I'm not sure on the availability of parts to rebuild the Boss kit, but know Icons are readily available.
