Reseting Mass Airflow Sensor

i have a 1996 4runner w/ cold air intake, water got in durring the car wash and its dry now but the maitnance light it still on..how do i reset that light so the MAFS woorks again?

The light won't stop the sensor from working. If the sensor is OK, then it's working fine right now, and the light is just telling you that there was a problem at one point. If all is well, the light will go off on its own after you start the engine some number of times. To force the light to go off, you can disconnect the battery for about half an hour.
 
You can also pull the main ECU fuse for several minutes, which do the same thing as disconnecting the battery except that all the resets will be maintained like the windows and stereo channels. I would just lave it alone unless you are due for DMV inspection soon.
 
ok something new...

at my work i used the computer and found it was cyl 4,5 and 6 that are misffiring.

and like i said i washed the engine so was thinking if it was water that got up in the sparkplug wires form the outside....

when i get the truck back from the body shop ill bring it towork w/me and give it a good look down (plugs, wires, maf, the whold shabang!)

and i will report what was wrong when i get it back around monday or tuesday from the shop at 9-10-07
