resonater???

I have searched around and didnt find much info.
Has any one cut the resonater off their rig?
What did you notice? Any loss in power?
I want to make a side exit so I can run with the rear window down. I used to do that on my 2000 and it was fine but I cant on my 2003.
If I do a side exit I should be fine but just dont know if taking the resonater off will have any ill effects.

none, the res. is there to cancel out certain exhaust notes, but you'll have to get a hanger welded onto the bend.

Getting a hanger and tip welded on is no big deal. I have a welder.
Just didnt know what it was really there for. I run a flowmaster on my Jeep so I dont think then it would be a big deal to take it off.

Yanked it when I added a Flower Master and chrome slash cut tip. 2nd mod after tint. Easy $100 and less than an hour.

Best thing ever! I highly recommend it, and go ahead and get the pipe bent so it goes out the side. I didn't do that, but I'm not sorry at all with what I have. I kept the original hook holder. However I do not have normal exhaust piping. It's actually fence pipe that is used to keep cattle on the correct side of the fence. Heavy duty & will take a rock strike.

No close ups, but good enough you get the idea.
