Retorque drive shaft bolts

This is my first truck/SUV that i own. First of all bear with me for my lack of knowledge on the truck, what is "drive shaft bolts" and how difficult is it to retorque it?

The manual claimes that it has to be done every 5k. i am wondering if it is something as easy as changing your motor oil and filter (So i can do it myself).

You can definitly do this yourself but I would say you need a good torque wrench to do it correctly. If you want to start saving money and doing things yourself I would say invest some of the money you save on the factory service manuals. They will have diagrams and all the torque specifications you need. Or maybe someone here can supply the diagram and specs.
