I have spoken with a few local uscg guys that use them on jeeps that havent had any problems but figured i should drop a line here incase people have had issues with this company…..yes i know the ususal concerns but im just interested in real life experiences here….anyone?

No, nobody on the board has any personal experience, or even any opinion at all, on Treadwright tires. It's a good thing you didn't bother searching, because you won't find anything. You certainly won't find the flamefest in the 3rd gen section going on right now on this very topic.

I LOLed.

Retread tires are banned in some states...and rightly so. I'd never put them on any vehicle I owned or never recommend them for any relative of mine (well maybe my mother-in-law).

I was just on their web-site...and their prices aren't that good. $116 + shipping. I can get good quality Cooper tires cheaper then that.

The biggest red flag for me was the two year warranty. It's not a stereo. If you only drive 5K a year, you've bought tires with a 10K warranty. What happens if you lose a tread after two years?

Granted most folks drive 15K-20K per year, but still...:pray2:

What states ban retreads? I have read that Florida and Georgia considered it, but I couldn't find a state that made them illegal.
