Reusing Lugs

I finally found some 17" Sequoia/Tundra rims and I think I'm going to buy them. The only problem is that they don't come with lugs.

Would the ones that are on my wheels now be ok?

I'm also probably going to wrap them with the Duratrac's.

How do you think that will look?

265/70/17 should fit correct? I believe it's the same as 265/75/16.

You lucky sob!!! I'm not real familar with duratracs but the size you have listed is correct.

The lugs should work. They should be a 21mm and have a shank that actually slips inside the rim when you tighten them down. If you take one of your lugs off and line it up with the new rims you will be able to see if they fit or not. Most 4runner/suv/truck lugs are the same. Steel wheels have a different lug (no shank) and I believe the new Tundra might as well. Not sure about the Tundra. It's amazing how much you forget when you take a week off of work. =)

Toyota lugs for the alloy wheels can cost around 4 bucks a pop...yeah you added right, about a hundred bucks for lugs...go get a set at autozone...but make sure you get an extra set of washers, cause I had to double my washers because the aftermarket nuts were too long

Update:

Three and a half hours and $200 later I have a set of Sequoia/Tundra rims.

Gotta say I like them.

Just gotta wait till I get new tires to mount them.

i love those wheels so much, but im just not sold on running wheel spacers. ive always been told that "bad things can happen" and they sit way to far inside the wheel well without them

IMO they're the perfect offset

Hmm... yours seem to stick out a little, so with my Limited flares they should sit pretty flush. I would be happy with that.

Before I start a new thread I thought I would try and just post the question in here.

Which would y'all go with 265/70/17 or 275/70/17.

If I go with the 265's it will either be the Duratracs or the Cooper STT's.

275's would be the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R.

Will 275's fit without rubbing? I dunno if many people are familiar with 275/70-17's since it seems most people run 16" rims, so you might wanna stick with 165's. Pretty wide IMO. Good luck with your choice and post up some pics after the install - I've found some Sequoia rims that I might buy too.

id say go with the duratracs in the 265/70/17 unless you did your lift. just because you may have rubbing otherwise...
