REVIEW: TRD Pro - Offroad thrashing

This guy really runs this TRD Pro hard.

Love it! Similar situation when 4Runner was almost new. I thought for sure I was going to crush in one of the doors on the ice. I did ruin most of the wheel center caps. I think 3 out of 4 got crunched by the ice.

And it would have really sucked to have to get out and pull a winch. Because it was -2*.

It was very similar to the video. Took a number of tries back and forth to break through. It was definitely near the limit of what I could get through with full tire pressure. I was on 285/70/17's. My guess is 10psi or 15psi and it would have been a good bit easier.

You can't see it very well in that picture, but I have a hidden mount winch that is behind the license plate. So in the worst case I could have winched out. I think I was just wearing shoes, so it would have been cold and messy.

If you're not familiar with a particular spot - be careful going through on thin ice. It could be 6 inches or 3 feet deep underneath.

Yeah, with my stock OR on factory tires, I'd have been looking for a way around, like that nice field to the left - LOL! That video is impressive, though.

I don't get the high-speed driving through the trees, either. But the mud and ice was fun to watch.
