Revo 2 tire size??

Ordering 4 new tires for my 06 4Runner Sport.I wondering what people think of the Revo 2.Another thing is the size.Should i go with the 265/65 or go with the 265/70.Does anyone have experience with the tire and the size.

Cooper Discoverer CTS

Just put 265/65/R17 Cooper Discoverer CTS tires on my 04 Sport Edition. I was looking for a highway tire with good handling, good gas mileage, and long life. I did a lot of research but ultimately chose the Coopers for their warranty (70K miles), rolling resistance, and handling. I replaced OEM Dunlop Groundtrek AT20s. Night and day difference in traction, noise, and vibration. I was averaging 19.5 MPG before. Hopefully I'll see an improvement to that figure. Also looked at General Grabber HTS and Continental Conti CrossContact LX.

The original Revo is very popular, and I can only imagine the Revo 2 being better. People don't like the look as much (less aggressive than the original).

What will you be doing with this tire? What makes you consider the larger size?

I just put those revo 2's on my 2006 sport and they are great...very smooth and quiet on hwy too...I got the 70's and no rubbing at all so get them but u will need to get one for the spare too which I did as they will be larger than stock. Go for it! I put the white letters facing out which look nice.

The 70 series would be a tad more than 1" more OD than the 65 series tire. It'll also change your speedometer by -2 MPH.

:iagree: but in my opinion, its nothing to worry about, they're only 1 size up, & the mph difference will only be seen at 50+, so just keep that in mind when your speeding down the highway.

Thanks guys for the help.Narrowed my search down and ordered the Revo 2 265/70 17.Just received them today and these tires look mean and aggresive.Going to take some before and after pics.Thanks

Actually the speedometer will read 3.4% lower - across the board.
