Well, finally gonna take the plunge and put new shoes on the 4runner. Was gonna put the Dueler Revo's on it, but the guy at the tire shop (a reputable shop in my area) told me to go with the Michelin Capitols. He said they are about the same tread pattern, but cost about 10% less. Has anyone had experiencwe with these tires before?

There's a saying, "you pay for what you get."

choose wisely.

Can't even find that tire on the Michelin website. I've never heard of Capitols but I'm not sure 10% savings is worth it over the Revos since the Revos are considered one of the best on road tire with decent off road manners.

It could be one of those deals where the have an off name made by a certain MFG. It seem's tire place's are notorious for suggesting those type of tire's since there profit margin is probably higher than with other tire's.

4Rundan, I'm sure they will be fine,There are so many tire brand's out there that are made by other MFG's. Do the tire's actually say Michelin in them ? Never heard of capitol's.

One really popular tire around here is also called"Widetrack" that sold at our local Farm store's.Ton's of people buy them and have never heard anyone complain about them, most just love them. It's all in what work's for you.

Spend the extra $$ for the Revos, I guarantee you won't be dissapointed!

A good rule of thumb I go by is if nobody has ever heard of it on this website don't get it.
