When I got mine, the guy at the shop said a woman came in a few days before and had him put Revos on her van. He said he tried to talk her into more of a passenger tire, but she was adamant and insisted on the Revos -- said she'd done her research and she wanted them for their traction.Boaz said:

I understand racers want plus sizes but you are going the wrong way. no such thing as a minus size?
I want larger tires, because they looks better and I'm thinking of lifting, so it's make sense of getting big tires.

call tirerack and talk to them. the only concern i have is you rolling over on the highway with these tires. i have plus tires on my car and it hugs the road. imagine what a negative (plus) size will do to u.

265/65/17 is SMALLER than 265/70/17 by one inch. SO the 265/70/17 tire is slightly TALLER than the OEM tire, quite a few members of this board run this size with NO problems and NO rubbing. A tire that is one inch bigger in diameter will not cause "rolling over" on the highway.... or any other road for that matter. Do a search on "REVO" and see how many people upsize with ZERO problems.....
you sound like my local Costco , who wont install larger tires on anything now... because of lawsuits I guess... ne ways.... explain to me what a negative plus size tire is..... I gotta hear it.

There's a difference in "plus sizing" and going to bigger tires.
Plus sizing is getting a bigger wheel and lower profile tires so the overall diameter of the tires is the same as stock.
We're talking about gettting a 1" bigger tire.
And yes, Boaz, it does make a difference as well as a lift does. It raises your center of gravity (CG) and you have a greater chance to roll over in a quick manuver. It just basic laws of physics. It might feel like the same but it's not.
Just remember you're driving a SUV and not a sports car.
