This seems to be a pretty good deal.

Discount Tire quoted me $197 and a local independent shop quoted me $215. After I told the latter about the $155.99 deal, he said he could come down to $194.

I think I'm gonna see if Discount will price match. I think they typically do that, and I've always dealt with them in the past. Hopefully they will.

For $25 more per tire you could go with BFG AT. I was quoted $185.00 each with mt. and balance , out the door . for a LT265/70/17 "C" rated tire.

Not a great bargain as far as I'm concerned , but ok.

I'm long time advocate of buying tires at CostCo - but they no longer have Bridgestone tires --- just costly Michelin and BFG (a Michelin subsidiary). I do like Costco's honest out the door prices though - a ~$10 fee for new valve stems, mounting, lifetime balancing, life time rotation and road hazzard - plus free nitrogen filling. There is also a $1 disposal fee and state tax Other places seem to tack on each added item and it costs you another $30-40 each tire by the time you get out the door. Plus some require their costly (and usually not needed) alignment to get any warranty. If that price was out the door per tire - its great!

Usually the 70/17's are a little cheaper since it's a more common size . None the less , congrats on the new tires .
