Anyone experience Revos getting noisy as they age? My cousin has had a set of Revos for just over a year now and I was driving with him earlier today and was shocked at the amount of road noise from his tires!

Now, I have driven with him plenty of times from when his Revos were brand new and they were never noisy until recently. I looked at the tread, and they still seem like they are almost brand new, yet now they sound like hell on the road.

So what"s the deal? Do the Revos get noisy when they age???

I have 36k on my Revos , they didn't wear very well and it depends where your comfort zone is as far as tire wear ( all subjective ) since I like to winter wheel off road I'm getting close if not already there as far as comfort level goes.

I never found them to be an exceptionally quiet tire , but mine have not seemed anymore noticeable since I put them on . Very acceptable IMO.

Has he been rotating , I do religiously every 5K. That can cause un even wear and increase noise quite a bit.

I don't think he's ever rotated them, but he's only had them for approximately one year. He probably has about 12,000 miles on them so far.

The funny thing is that he didn't notice the increase in road noise, probably because he drives his vehicle every day. However, I haven't been driving with him for months, so the increased noise was very noticeable to me.

It will probably be even more noisy if he rotates them now , since they are wore in and probably cupped in a different direction. What I would recommend is to rotate them , do another 12k to get is as even as possible and then start the 5k rotation.
