Rhino Rack Platform mount?

So I have a sunroof on my 2003 and I want a flat rack that ends right behind the sunroof keeping it clear. Has anyone mounted a rhino rack platform on a 4th gen? Is putting it on factory crossbars the only way to mount it? I swear I have seen one mounted somehow. We have a rhino rack on our 5th gen so it would be nice to have the same rack on the 4th.

Did you follow through with putting the rhino rack on your 4th gen?

I put a rhino rack platform on my forerunner. I mounted it to the stock rails. I’ve had it on there for three years and tons of thousands of miles. No issues.
