Rickashay's Sleeping Platform

Love the builds. Interesting to see the unique way different people make their sleeping / camping platforms. Just finished mine today, can't wait to go camping!

Looks really good! I like the drawers. Any idea what the whole thing weighs?

From memory, I believe it was short of two sheets of 3/4" plywood, and one half sheet of 1/2", so ~150lbs? It's not unbearable, but it's definitely not light. I do like that it's incredibly solid, and you don't feel the other person turn over, which I really like. :thumb3:

Raising this thread from the dead and I'm glad I found it. I'm about 75% finished and taking a break because it's stupid hot outside.

I was able to do this for less than $100 with the cost of lumber, hardware, etc. I used crappy wood and others' projects are absolutely better looking but for the money and the function I'm thrilled.

Posting for later, pick up my 2012 4Runner (my 3rd 4Runner) today and will chip away at a version of this very soon.
