Ridge Grapplers or MT Baja Boss AT for my next tires?

Which one are you running? What do you like and dislike? Durability for off roading? Help me choose! Thanks!

If it matters to you, baja boss AT are 3 peak snowflake rated (in some sizes) and ridge grapplers are not. I've had both and the Mickey Thompson's have been a better tire up here in Colorado than the Ridge grapplers. However, the Ridge Grapplers were perfectly fine in Texas if you don't need the snowflake rating. They both were pretty durable tires when offroading, never experienced any chunking or cupping like I have with other brand of tires.

ran ridgegrapplers on my f250. hated them. chunked out. didnt last at all. YMMV obviously as it was a diesel vs a small suv.

Ok thank you. I had Ridge Grapplers on my 4th gen but never got to off road with them. That’s why I’m wanting opinions so hopefully I can decide if I want to go back to them because I am going to be off roading my 5th gen.

I had bad luck with the Ridge Grapplers as well. 285/75 C. Horrid in any kind of snow or ice. Not as "grippy" as I would have liked on rocks. Chunked out some too. Wore unevenly even with regular rotations and appropriate tire pressure. Wore down to an unsafe level by 30,000 miles. Positives, well they looked good....

I haven't tried the Baja Boss yet but it looks interesting

1. Dangerous in snowy conditions
2. Weak sidewalls that got chewed up on rocky trails
3. Chunking everywhere
4. Mediocre offroad traction on rocks
5. Super quiet highway tire

Great for show trucks but not for real offroad use IMO. The Baja Boss AT looks interesting for sure.

Yeah I’m thinking the bajas are my choice. They have the same carcass as their mt tires so they should hold up well. Right now I have the cooper rugged treks in xl load rating which equals to a C load and they are a great tire but only 2 ply sidewall and I want something tougher in the sidewalls. Thanks for your feedback.
