I've also read that if you put an amber cover over the housing, the light output reduced by ~50%. I'm buying a set though - just don't plan on going amber.

Having seen them with covers I really find it hard to believe it was that much of a reduction, seemed minor to me. An amber cover on white does put out a different color than the actual Amber led lights.

I honestly don't care. They are insanely bright either way.

I have a set of Dually D2s waiting to go in an aftermarket bumper. Are you saying that this harness would allow me to run the original fog light wires to the D2s? And that I would retain the use of the OE foglight switch by the steering wheel? I would prefer that over running new wires for an aftermarket switch.

You can use your factory wires to trigger the relay for the D2s. I did this on my 2007 without issue.

Hey [MENTION=121033]prasta[/MENTION] it looks like you're putting in dually floods in the lower rigid grill, I would recommend either spots or moving up to D2's. I started with the floods and the light spread and output is not great. Since I got the upper grill and put an SR20 in I now have Amber spots in the lower.

Just thought I Would throw it out there for thought.

You can do whatever you preferred.

The "wiring harness" said above allows you, convinently, to just directly plug Rigid's 2-pin D-series directly into the OEM fog light plug and power the Rigid by original wiring in our trucks (and original fog light control). You don't have to do it this way, you can do your wiring and use your own switch, and you won't even need this "wiring harness".

Yes. 4-6 week lead time, MSRP is 1.5x the base item you are having built.
