OK I've been looking for off road lights and have posted a few threads on it. So now I'm thinking about the rigid ind. Dually 2x2 and the Light force 170 I have around $220 to spend. They will be going on a 2000 4Runner and Will be used for driving on the beach mostly and field paths when I go camping.I've found the 170's foe $230 and the Dually for $189. Need some opinions.

So I've done it again. I've managed to research off road lights to the point that my head is swimming. I'm the type of person who wants to buy the best that I can afford and this is not just with lighting it's with every thing. Need lights to mount on the front bumper of my 2000 mostly night beach driving. My price is about $230 I would go with Light force 170's if the came with wire harness or the combo filters. I want to light up everything around me.I had thought about KC 69 series but after talking with the guy from Outdoor logic about my bumper he brought up that the bigger lights will block air flow to the radiator. I wont be driving fast enough to out run the light because that is just impossible. the reason I was thinking Rigid Industries Duallys is the current draw of these lights and I've seen some videos on YouTube and they seem to light up nice. I have excessive stereo mods and would be maxing out the stock alternator. Would love to afford a 20 inch como bar but if I did and my wife found out she would make me spend the same money on her and just don't have that kind of cash to spend right now. Looking for the best bang for the buck again around $230 shipped.(lummins or candlepower?) Please help me make this decision. I don't wont to waste money on crap.

The Light Force are really nice and I know a few people running them and have seen more then a few demo's on their strength. Rigid Industries is not as well known but the couple products of theirs I have seen look to be high grade. If I had narrowed it down to the two it would be a tough call but would probably lean more to the Light Force simply because of my familiarity with them.

I put LF lights on my front bumper way back in 04 and have never had a problem. You want to light **** up - I added some side lights as well as a massive back light. Nothing fancy about the side and back light - Pep Boys tractor lights.

OK so I got a call from Jimmy at Outdoor logic Thurs. He said that my bumper was going to be shipped out on Fri. Can't wait! So I spent most of this weekend deciding on the lighting for it. What I decided was a pair of Piaa 510 fog lights for the 4 inch holes in the bumper and a pair of Hella 700FF for the top of the bumper. I've seen a video on YouTube from ORW comparing all of the Hella light and the 700's looked like they put out the light I'm looking for.I would have loved to got a set of Light force 170's but at $260 a pair with no wiring harness and I would need different filters to accomplish the lighting I'm looking for.I just could not justify spending the money.Especially when I still have to get the bumper painted to match the limited finder flares when it comes in.The total I spent on the Piaa's and Hella lights $230 shipped. Can't wait I will post pic as soon as I get every thing installed.
