So, I don't know if you guys have ever heard of these things before, but I got these "Rigid LED" lights. They seem to be pretty bright... :thumb3:
Now to be serious: I bought 4x6" SR series from Ducmonsta at an exceptional price (99% sure it's the same price he offers to all T4Rers), and then did an impulse buy on Amazon for the 20" after seeing Deekoi's install and because it was a good deal. I mounted the SRs in the same way Adio3x did |flood|specter|specter|flood. I did the 20" behind the grille because after my first daylight test it didn't seem like it was cutting too much of the light. After seeing it work at night I believe I'm going to keep it behind the grill instead of cutting the grille since it puts out *plenty* of light.
I didn't take pictures during the install because everything is pretty straightforward. I ran the roof lights wiring down the side of the windshield and it fit under the weather stripping perfectly. I've seen a couple of questions about wiring these things, but Rigid does a great job of putting together basic instructions and wiring diagrams. The instructions basically consist of telling you where to put the spade connectors on the switch because that's pretty much the most complicated part of the install. They even go so far as to tell you to put the red wire on the positive terminal of the battery and put the black wire on a ground or negative terminal of the battery. However, I did a lot of cutting, splicing, and soldering because I wanted to run the switches in some places that required a bit more reach than what Rigid gives you (not to mention combining all four roof lights into one switch). But, even with all that it took maybe four hours for the roof lights (and I was REALLY taking my time) and another two hours for the 20" behind the grille.

Here's a video I put together. The camera I used is great for day stuff, but not so much night stuff. It's highly underexposed, and doesn't capture the distance/throw of the lights very well at all. But, given that the stock headlights are underexposed as well you can still see the extreme difference.
