Rims On 4Runner

I am looking at putting 22 inch rims on my 4Runner, but I was told I would need to lift it to put these on. I didn't know if anyone knew anything about this? I am planning on running 305/40 R22's

If I lifted it at all it'd have to be a spacer because I have X-reas. Any ideas on how much? 3 front 1" back or 3" front 1 1/2" back maybe 2" in the back?

Thanks!

22's on a 4R ? it is an off road truck based vehicle. do a search for "cornfed or lift" you we'll see plenty of threads.

22's belong on an Escalade not a 4R , but what ever works for you .

20" is at its best. its just me. i have this friend at work on a 2k3 Limited 4R and it look just right for the size of the 4R. she said theres little rubbing if she turn the wheel to hard.

thanks, Mine isn't an off roading vehicle because it is only 2wd. I've taken it off roading and it doesn't perform very well. My friends F-150 2wd can do better.
