Yes, they will fit with no modification. Once you upgrade to a 12.5" wide tire, like a 285/70/17, is when you have problems.

You can fit 265/65/17 guaranteed and fit 265/70/17 with some minor trimming.

My rims have the same exact backspacing so you'll be fine.

Why would he have to trim for 265/70/17?
 
Thanks for the info! Is the price good for those?

I have the stock 16" tri-spoke on mine now, but they are not in the best shape, and I'm due for new tires. Figured I might as well do a wheel upgrade at the same time. When going to a 17" rim is the odometer affected? Is there a loss of MPG?

I had it where in hard turns I would rub, so I trimmed the mudflap. The inner fender also got a little caught sometimes but most was remedied with more trimming. I also had to hammer in my pinch welds.

The 99 springs made it all go away, with the exception of extreme offroading (going down hard at an angle at full lock)

Overall size of the tire effects the speedometer, not the rim size. If you got the same sized tire, it will make no difference.

For instance, in the case you have stock 265/70/16 tires, a 265/65/70 is essentially the same size.

Going to a 265/75/16 or 265/70/17 (also essentially the same) will make your speedometer read a little slow, so when you're traveling at 60MPH on your speedometer, you're actually going 62-63.

That's weird. Mine didn't rub at all.

Yes arracado, that's what he and I have. $300 is a fair price.
 
I got the 17 inch taco rims for mine with tires for 100.
The size is 265 65 17
And no rubbing

Think I'm going to make an offer on the alloy wheels. The Tundra rims are sweet but they're more expensive and 3+ hours away. Next up will be tires...

I know this is an old thread but will 2016 (265/65r16) Tacoma rims and tires fit on my 4runner (265/65r17. Any rubbing on calipers/brake system ?
