I have a ringing coming from underneath when my 4runner is rolling. When I roll up the windows I don't hear it. When the car is parked and I rev the motor I don't hear it. When the car is driving I hear it and when I kick it into neutral while the car is rolling I still hear it. It only stops when the car stops rolling. It sounds a little like a chain is dragging. I got underneath and didn't see anything loose. It's in great shape, except for this noise. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem, it turned out to be a loose bolt on the brush guard, the washer was rattling against the metal, I could only hear it when it was idling.

Ok sounds like it is only when the drive shaft is spinning so I would check your U joints on the drive shaft both ends of if maybe one of the exhaust heat shields is rubbing against it. Also when checking the U joints at both the diff and the t-case I would look for signs of wear on the bearings behind the drive flange if you could see them, or leaking from there.

I checked underneath and nothing's loose or rubbing the underside of either drive shaft and the ujoints don't seem to be leaking, just the usual road dust underneath. Nothing seems loose.
If the one of the ujoints were worn out what would I be looking for?

AHA, well I feel stupid for not figuring this out sooner, but in my defense I inspected the brakes when I bought it a few months ago and all the pads had at least 50%.
The front drivers side brake pads are rubbing on the disks. I took the wheel off and can spin the brake rotors by hand but the pads are definitely rubbing more than they should, causing the sound.
Anyone know the best way to resolve this.

That pads were dragging like that on my moms sequoia, after trying to remove the pads I discovered that one of the pistons had seized causing the pads to be pressed against the rotor at all times. I had to replace the caliper to fix the problem. If this does turn out to be your problem I would recommend the Tundra Brake Upgrade.
