RIP Jackass Ryan Dunn

Holy ****! I was just watching Jackass with my son a few days ago.

That sucks. All the crazy **** they do, and he dies hitting a freakin' tree. Go figure.

according to news, he posted a picture of him drinking on twitter hours before. and supposedly the crash was caused due to high speeds.

i do feel bad for the families and friends and the passengers, but not for dunn himself.

there is no excuse for drunk driving (if thats what it turns out to be)

no one deserves to die, but it was highly avoidable. i have no respect for people that drink and drive.

Yeah, I heard on the news it was a "fiery" crash. It sounds like he was drinking and driving, but it still sucks he's dead. Sucks way more for the passenger though. I don't have much sympathy for drinking and driving either, but 34 is still too soon to go. RIP RD.

It surely is a sad story! If Ryan was drinking and driving, this is yet another lesson on why you shouldn't do it. When will people learn?

Ryan Dunn was a cool guy but when you decide to put the keys in your 2007 Porche 997 GT3 after drinking at the bar untill close is just asking for trouble.. Easily could have been avoided by catching a cab or calling a friend.. flying down a narrow one lane road in the dark while drunk was just not a good idea at all.. Good thing there were no other cars or people on the road at that time.. sucks for the guy that was in the car with him also.. sad story for him.. lost respect for Ryan Dunn.. heart goes out to family and friends that have to deal with it..

Gonna get crap for this, but I don't care:

Dunn made his money doing very stupid things in front of the camera. Some thought it was funny. Some of it WAS amusing, but I never saw the point. This type of "comedy" wasn't my thing.

Talent? No (anybody can ride a grocery cart down the highway at 90mph)
Nice Guy? Yes (reportedly)
Stupid? Absolutely (NO ONE can dispute this).
Tragic? No (he was a big boy and for sure knew that drinking and driving is a HUGE No-No).
Sad? For family of the passenger he killed, YES.

I live about 10 minutes from where he wiped out his Porsche. The roads are narrow, hilly and winding. Some reports have him speeding at about 100mph. That's EFFING insane, I don't care what car you have. He was known to speed in the past. This was a very stupid death. What I can't stand is the passing of Clarence Clemons (saxophonist from E Street Brand) and YES it happened a few days ago, but Dunn's accident seems to overshadow the passing of this guy. Maybe it's a generational thing, I dunno. I think Clemons passing is TONS more newsworthy than Dunns stupid accident.

In all, yeah, it sucks that it happened, but STOP (the Media) making this guy out to be some incredibly important "Hollywood" legend.

I'm done ranting...................

Drunk driving, Extreme speeding, killed a beautiful Porsche.. and a passenger.

No sympathy, enjoy where you went dumbass.

x2. I don't really care for Dunn. And in all likelihood, the passenger was probably equally drunk or equally stupid. I have more things to feel sad about in the world than a dumbass doing dumb things on the road. Just imagine if he knived into a minivan or another car??

I just feel bad for the Porsche...she could have had a more responsible owner.

Who cares about this guy... our service members die every day fighting overseas. Why are we wasting our energy remembering this idiot?

Well...I take it the people who are shocked are teenagers who never knew anyone young who died, who think younger people are invincible, who grew up watching "Jackass."

32 is not a kid. He was old enough to know better than to drive over 100 mph when he had been drinking. I think a lot of entertainer/comedians are bipolar and have a death wish at times.

What is sad is that the remains are so burned that today they are reporting that they haven't identified the passenger he killed.

Shame it happened, but was his fault. I agree about the troops, but that is typical. People feel worse for individuals they can put a face to. They are a number to everyone else instead of a brother, sister, mother, father, etc.

On a side note, kind of funny the Ads by Google at the bottom of the last post talk about roadside assistance and heavy vehicle breakdown. Those things are so random sometimes.

"Jackass" should have learned his lesson from his DWI/DUI and previous speeding tickets. I thoroughly enjoyed jackass though, even from the very beginning. Ryan Dunn was one of the more tame of the group and I liked him for that. He wasn't one of the crazy ass insane members. No one deserves to die the way him and the passenger did, especially at that age... but I can't reiterate how important it is NOT TO DRINK AND DRIVE! It doesn't matter if you're speeding or not, it's still deadly.

There has been reports that he was not drunk. That he only had a few, hours before, and that speeding was the main factor. It could very well be the case but no one will ever know for sure. My heart goes out to the families and everyone involved. I know Bam and Ryan were like brothers.

Time will heal the broken heart and the show will go on...

R.I.P. Ryan Dunn. You were one of the best.

Very well said. While it is sad, there are actual TRAGEDIES that happen everyday and deserve more attention than this.

Yes, 100% in agreement, Ryan Dunn lived up to his jackass reputation. He's dead, move on.
