Just thought I would get a picture of my '06 4runner with the latest mod's Spent 1 night plasti dipping the grill, and a weekend working on the wheels! I am debating on finishing the wheel caps or just painting the TOYOTA symbol in the middle of the center cap with black to make it stand out a little more! This site is great.. I love seeing all the sweet 4runners on here!

Sweet ride! I think it'd look best if the caps were black and toyota logo stayed silver..

Any other plans?

Thanks guys.. As it sits now.. i do have FJ TT coils and shocks in there.. Actually handles the bumper weight just fine, and doesn't bottom out like it used to with the stock bumper and coils!! Would love something a little taller and stiffer though (OME i am thinking). Only a few thoughts.. touch up the wheels with whatever I come up with... Would love a SCION T1809 radio in there, not really sure beyond that..

Current configuration

FJ TT Coils/Shocks w/daystay 2.5/1.5 spacers (i know. not the best.. but rides way better than stock even with the bumper, surprised at how well the FJ coils handle it!! Bumper was due to meeting a deer at 65 mph in eastern CO)

Perkins Performance bumper (after hitting the deer, work something out with the insurance company to have them not put my old grill guard back on and ended up getting cash for the guard and some oft he stock bumper work)

1.25" Spidertrax

265/70/17 BFG AT's.. rub ever so slightly

Stock 17" wheels plasti dipped

Plasti dipped grill

30% tint up front

Removed factory cross bars and installed Yakima setup.

Can't believe you're still rubbing with 2.5/2.5 & FJ stuff!

I have a similar setup (265/70-17 BFG ATs & Spidertraxx) with FJ stuff & .85/0 lift. I had to remove the mud flaps and trim a small bit of plastic but I've only rubbed one time since trimming and that was on a trail in CO when I came down too hard on the front end at an odd angle.

I guess the weight of the bumper offsets a bit of that lift though.

Yep.. barely rub's on the LEFT FRONT mud flap.. not the right front though.. Wonder if it has something to do with the shop replacing that drivers side mud flap when they replaced the Drivers door, and fender... Thats my only thought. And it doesn't rub all the time.. only heading to full lock and i hit a small bump. Nothing i cant fix by removing or trimming the mudflaps! :artist:

Nice truck!! I vote for black centers with silver emblems too.

How much did the bumper drop your front end?

Good to see another WA 4Runner owner. I drive up to Lynnwood/Edmonds quite often so hopefully I see you around.

Hmm Very tempting to finish the caps black!! Will have to look into that more.. I do have some Plasti dip left!
The bumper probably dropped it about .5"... if i knew someone with the same FJ TT setup + daystar lift on a V6.. I could compare the measurements. But again.. with the stock coils and a grill guard it would bottom out or have a harshness going over speed bumps, that i don't get now! Definitely good to see a mod'd runner around the area! I am up in Mukilteo!

darkie3495... I see you have quite a bit more mods than I! I bow to you sir! I am sure I will notice your rig if i see it around!

Thanks man!! It all started pretty innocently with HIDs and a limited grille. It's been all down hill since then.

I'll keep an eye out for you next time I'm in your area.

After taking some measurements, the top center of the front wheel well is at 36.75 inches from the ground... Looking from others that have done the FJ + 2.5/1.5 lift, they are at about 37 to 37.25... Looks like The front bumper only dropped .5" off the front end.
This is running 265/70/17 BFG AT's..
